Still using the Theradome twice per week. No remarkable changes / improvements.
Seems I'm still experiencing quite a bit of shedding in the front. To me it now appears visibly thinner in photos. This particular thinning session started a month or so back...around the time I increased Theradome treatments to 5 times per week. Red marks are from the Theradome helmet. I had completed a treatment several minutes before these photos were taken.
Last week somebody requested a collage of photos showing the frontal region of my hair. This contains on average 1 photo per month of Theradome use. Several months back I posted this collage showing a sample of photos from weeks 1 through 15. Here's an updated photo showing a sample of weeks 20 - 38. This a comparison to a photo taken after a haircut in May (Left). That cut was a bit shorter than the most recent. .
Recently I have noticed a bit of shedding in the front. Looking in the mirror the front appears thinner than prior to starting the Theradome treatments. Not sure if that is true, but it certainly appears that way. It's safe to say it's not a good sign when after 37 weeks of LLLT (Theradome usage) there is debate on if the hair looks worse than before. I have decided to scale back my use of the Theradome to two treatments per week.
The majority of those who I have kept in touch with since the beginning are in a similar situation. A few think their hair has worsened, a few others think they may see some improvement and the rest see no notable change. In my opinion none have experienced anything to the scale of what Theradome claims on Theradome.com Another week of Theradome usage. No news to report. We have four months left of this laser helmet experiment. Hair is getting to the length where progress photos are difficult to judge. I hope all is well for the readers of this blog. Not much new to report with regards to my hair or the Theradome helmet. I noticed that lately the helmet is difficult to charge if I let the battery run down. This morning I heard "warning battery low" and then spent the next several minutes trying various methods of placing the helmet on the charging dock. Eventually the charging resumed, but it was more frustrating than charging a device should have to be. My advice to others is to not go more than 2 uses of the helmet without charging the battery. Tamim (Theradome founder / CEO) was on another morning show. In this video he displays the photos of the teenage girl who was featured in their original marketing videos. Am I the only one who thinks that by this point they should have some new photos of different users? Several people have mentioned that I am less likely to see impressive results because I do not take medication to alter the levels of DHT in my scalp. While that may be true, you can see in this video that Tamim justifies the cost of his product by comparing it to what a man would ordinarily spend on drugs like Propecia. Implying that Propecia would no longer be necessary after purchasing the Theradome helmet. Many people might not be willing to spend $900 on a laser helmet if they thought they still had to purchase other medications. |
