Last week I received a few emails from readers questioning the before and after photos provided by Theradome. The most interesting question (and something I hadn't noticed prior) was about the color of the Theradome CEO's hair in the after photo. This photo is being passed around the hair growth forums as evidence the Theradome product might not be legitimate. Upon further review I agreed that in the photo Tamim's area of new hair growth is a different color from the rest of his hair. I emailed the addresses I know at Theradome on 2/12/14 to inquire about the cause of the coloration difference. Does the laser therapy result in a different shade of hair? Was it the lighting in the room at the time of the photo...something else? As of today I have not received a reply. I am posting the question here in the event a Theradome employee happens to read this blog and may have an answer.

That's interesting, I've never noticed that either. I know they have replied on these threads before, I'd be curious to their response and lack of reply to your question to date...

I find theradomes lack of response to these questions put forward in recent weeks shows little to no respect to existing customers.

I also heard that the Lazer does darken new hairs especially that it's thicker

My theory (just a theory) is that Theradome provided photos to a web / video development company and they edited / sized / whatever else with only a polished final product in mind (not good photos). And the website is quite polished and professional. Unfortunately people like us would prefer a simple site with full resolution photography. Still doesn't explain the lack of a reply to the questions.

I have to say I too wondered about the quality of the photos. It would behoove them to provide clear images no? I don't understand that at all. I would be showing a close in profile and with a further zoom in showing at a follicular level the improvements.

I also heard that it darkens your hair but I am sorry I just don't believe the before and after, I believe he has had a really nice hair transplant, several sessions. I am just counting down 120 days to get back my $795. Sorry to sound so negative but I just have nothing more but 1% hope that this will do anything for my hair.

Don't give up quite yet Holly! I suggest using the Theradome to the fullest extent up until the return date comes. After that I will be interested to hear how the return process went (if you return it).

How long have you used it for Holly? You haven't found any improvements? Does your hair feel any different?

Actually if the hair is a different color on the top of his head, it means he is less likely to of gotten a hair transplant. Since they would be transplanting from his permanet donor zone(The area that is grey at the back and sides of his head) all of his hair would be the same color.

I don't think he has had a hair transplant. To me it seems more like either lighting in the room or some photoshopping.

So, what's the deal with the FDA approval of the Theradome with men? Wasn't it supposed to happen in December? With that being said... Look at the different stages of hair loss they claim it can treat in women with the Ludwig & Savin Hair Loss Scale classification. It DOESNT treat the front part of the head! Where male pattern baldness occurs. Doctors will tell you that only procedures such as hair transplants can treat the front of the head. Drugs such as Propecia, Rogaine and the use of LLLT with treat the back of the head. Isn't that proof enough that Theradome's CEO must have used something other than just his devise????

I'm not sure about the FDA approval. I recall their website saying it would be approved in 4th quarter of 2013. The FDA has approved several other devices like this as being safe , so I don't think Theradome would have any problems with that aspect.

Could anybody post an electronic version of the manual here?

I have looked at a bunch of laser sites that have pictures and I have yet to see any with hair changing color like that. I agree that it is either photoshoped or just very bad photography.
