I sent your question to Dr. Tamim Hamid and this was his reply below. We do not have any more photos of Dr. Hamid's progress, but I can assure you that his photos are real and unedited. I have also seen his hair in person and it is just as thick and full as you see in the photos.
"Yes, I actually started to get gray/whiter hairs growing when my hair started to grow back. So it became a little lighter since white / gray hairs were not really visible when I had shaven my hair down.
The more I grew my hair back, the more white/gray hair showed up. If you look at my hair now, I actually have a bit more gray, so I think the lightness is due to having more gray hair.
I do not know if this actually gave me more or less gray hair, but it did give me more hairs and the thickness and volume has also increased. Also, instead of losing lots of hairs every time I showered, this went down to about 5-10 hairs per shower session. Which means, even more hairs on my head.
