At this point I'm pretty neutral. It doesn't appear to have helped much , nor does it seem to have hurt.

Thank you for the update. I wanted to post something I have noticed over the last week.....I just completed session 29 (3-4 times per week). While my hair continues to shed at the same rapid pace, I have noticed that some of the hair shafts (that I see on my very white bathroom counter) are definitely coming in MUCH darker than my normal color (dirty blonde) and the roots of the shafts are definitely thicker than my normal, very fine hair. Not all of the hairs look this way, but there are some that are definitely different than they looked before. Don't know if this means anything, but thought I would share. I'm still hoping to see my shedding slow, but as I stated, that hasn't happened yet.

Thanks for the weekly check-in. I started the Theradome on Feb. 20. I'm on treatment 19, using it everyday now. I've also noticed increased shedding when I shampoo my hair. I don't know why Theradome claims that users won't experience shedding initially. I was always under the impression that any good hair regimen that is working will push old hairs out so that new ones will replace them. Isn't that the case with minox and propecia? Shedding should be a good sign in my opinion. I guess we just have to be patient. Wish I could fast forward 6 months!!

Karen, I totally agree w you re the shedding. I think it is a good sign, and is a pretty standard occurrence w any hair loss treatment. I believe I was saved from the shedding because I use minox 2x day everyday, and had already experienced the shed from that which was so enormously frustrating, but worth it in the long run. I also wonder why Theradome did not find this happening w at least some of the subjects during FDA testing.

Because they did not do their own FDA testing from what I have been able to gather. They submitted information from another device to get FDA approval.

So what about those random hairs that grew on your temples did they get thicker or just fall off? Are you noticing any thickening of existing hair?

Jswole, both of my temples have filled in. The right one more than the left. The left has been a problem, but was really one of the last places I lost hair over the years. Seems like the places where I lost hair the most recently are the places coming back first. The hair has grown longer around the temples, and is consistent w the rest there, which is a bit downier than the regular hair on my head.I just started noticing a thickening of existing hairs most everywhere...although my hair is so fine that even quadrupling in size would make it just normal looking...and that ain't gonna happen. It is very slightly thicker now.

The little hairs I mentioned awhile back never did much. It seems they grow until they're about a half inch in length and then fall out.

Are you sure your not noticing any progrss? I'm not sure if its my imagination, but your hair seems to be looking better in this video than ones from before.

Michelle, i was under the impression that you are only using the Theradome and nothing else, i mean i am happy for you that you are seeing results but I thought it was strictly from the Theradome alone and nothing else, my excitement level just dropped a ton :(

Holly, so sorry. I have been upfront about my minox use on several threads on this blog. I believe it is why I have not shed from the Theradome, and why my Theradome results seem to be happening fairly quickly. Just finished treatment 52...of course, I use it everyday, so my timeframe is much less than the Theradome site for 52 sessions. But as a long term hair loss solution groupie, I feel very good about the Theradome...and I believe the results will come for just about everyone, regardless. I just think the timeframe may be a bit shorter for those using synergistic products.

Holly, you and I are in the same boat with the Minox. I too experience rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath so I am relying solely on the Theradome for hair regeneration. A good DHT blocker is a wise addition to your regimen. I started taking Hair Essentials, Fo-ti, Biotin and liposomal Vitamin C. I just completed treatment 21 (1x daily). I've noticed that my hair texture is softer. I have thyroid issues which has made my hair dry and brittle. Patiently waiting for additional changes. Michelle's progress gives me hope.

Holly, I know this is a Theradome blog, but I have read on Theradome's site that people using minox may see better results faster. I have heard f rom quite a few women about minox sides. But few were instructed to begin w the 2% once every other or every 3 days, then gradually increase. Side effects usually subside by slowly introducing. Of course, your sides were serious...that may be a different story. Best wishes for beautiful, thick, stunning hair!

I have been using the Theradome twice a week for 7 weeks and I have experienced a lot of shedding. I also use rogaine 5% once a day, which I have been using for years. I do not see any hair growth. I only see my good thick (thick for me which isn't very thick) hairs in the drain. Its not even the wispy, downy hair that I am losing, but the thick, good, long hairs. You can now clearly see my scalp, and I must say I am very disappointed. Theradome states there are no side effects from use, when clearly there are. If I had know so much shedding would occur, I never would bought this. I have contacted Theradome and they advise me to keep using it. They told me if I stop now, I will experience negative effects, since there is nothing in place to re-grow my hair. This is an awful place to be in, as I really can't afford to keep shedding like this for another 4 months or so.

Erin, are you using the Rogaine foam or liquid? I ask because I was using the foam, which contains alcohol, and I don't think that is a good mix w the laser. Also, may I ask why you only use it 1x day rather than the recommended 2x? Hopefully, you can get to the bottom of this and grow your thick hair back, and then some.

I have also noticed my hair is much thinner than before! I have been shedding a ton and its really showing, i am now seeing much more scalp then ever. I contacted Tamim about this and he basically was trying to convince me that the shedding is not from Theradome and that the reason why I am shedding/losing hair now is the same reason why I was shedding before using Theradome! Funny thing is I wasn't even shedding before using Theradome so that pissed me off he would say that, I told him no I am shedding because of the Theradome and he still said it does not cause shedding and to keep using it. I think I am just going to return this very expensive "toy" helmet that I bought, smh.

I have also noticed increased shedding but I am starting to see some darker hairs appearing (I am blonde and some of hair is almost translucent -- so I am taking this to be a good sign). I am using the Theradome only 2-3 times a week and I wonder if everyday use might be too much for some people. Michelle, what are your thoughts on Viviscal? I just ordered it and feel like it probably can't hurt to include it in my regimen. Thanks for continuing to post your updates!

Sarah, I have been using Viviscal for a few years on and off. I found that when I stopped, my hair seemed finer around the perimeter of my head/scalp. If it is working, it is minimal, but I'll take it. It is also very expensive. I get it on eBay.

I don't think the FDA clearance is all that difficult to obtain. I'm fairly certain the Laser Comb and iGrow were approved by the FDA for men. Neither of those appears to be as powerful (for lack of a better word) as the Theradome. It makes sense that a darker hair follicle would absorb more energy from the laser. Not sure if that would improve hair growth results.

I'm with Jay. It very well may be a case of wishful thinking, but I believe I see improvement in hair quality from the first few videos. Could just be lighting and/or cyclic health of the hair at the time of the shot. Still hopeful.
