Last week somebody requested a collage of photos showing the frontal region of my hair. This contains on average 1 photo per month of Theradome use.
It's so hard to tell from these photos (different lighting and hair style/length while very similar is not exactly the same).
I've looked through the majority of your early photos, and in my eyes there is no question you were thinner in the front back in Feb/March. I think you went through a big shed during that time.
And while I don't think you've gained much from baseline through today (which is certainly disappointing), I do think you are improved from your lowest points.
Let's see where you end up at 1 year. You also could be someone that responds slowly to LLLT, so may not see noticeable cosmetic changes until your 2nd or 3rd year. I realize that is a far cry from the time lines presented by Theradome (shame on them), but those time lines are realistic based on other treatments and the nature of hair growth. Even a hair transplant generally requires 18 months to fully mature, and that is simply moving perfectly healthy hairs from one place on your scalp to another (not trying to reverse miniaturization which has been occurring for many years).
Thanks ahadabans. It's hard to tell from the photos, but almost equally as difficult looking in the mirror. Could be a bit worse, perhaps a bit better...either way it's still really close to the baseline. I plan to continue to use the helmet twice a week for as long as it functions.
Any updates on your hair growth?
I dropped minoxidil after using it for 10 years. One, because I was having some irritation and two because I want off of topicals (which I am working towards by end of year). In addition, I started using Nano shampoo and I decided to give Neogenic one cycle (3 months) to hopefully blunt any potential minox shed.
Long story short, I can no longer gauge how much of what I'm seeing is the Theradome and what is being influenced by other factors. So bear that in mind.
Based on my recent photo analysis, I believe I have regressed very slightly from my 3 month results. I will take another picture at the end of this month (which will be 6 months), and every 3 months after that (these pictures I will post on HLH).
I'm playing the same waiting game you are at this point.
