Another week of Theradome usage. No news to report. We have four months left of this laser helmet experiment. Hair is getting to the length where progress photos are difficult to judge.
I hope all is well for the readers of this blog. Not much new to report with regards to my hair or the Theradome helmet. I noticed that lately the helmet is difficult to charge if I let the battery run down. This morning I heard "warning battery low" and then spent the next several minutes trying various methods of placing the helmet on the charging dock. Eventually the charging resumed, but it was more frustrating than charging a device should have to be. My advice to others is to not go more than 2 uses of the helmet without charging the battery. Tamim (Theradome founder / CEO) was on another morning show. In this video he displays the photos of the teenage girl who was featured in their original marketing videos. Am I the only one who thinks that by this point they should have some new photos of different users? Several people have mentioned that I am less likely to see impressive results because I do not take medication to alter the levels of DHT in my scalp. While that may be true, you can see in this video that Tamim justifies the cost of his product by comparing it to what a man would ordinarily spend on drugs like Propecia. Implying that Propecia would no longer be necessary after purchasing the Theradome helmet. Many people might not be willing to spend $900 on a laser helmet if they thought they still had to purchase other medications. Nothing new to report today. Will be back next week with photo updates.
How does this make you feel? In my opinion it is not a good sign if a company no longer feels confident enough in their product to offer a decent return policy (not saying this is Theradome's reason...but I can't think of any other legitimate reason). If anything I would have expected an increase in the trial period to match the number of weeks required to see results (new growth). I just completed 7 months of usage and see no signs of new hair growth and may have even lost a bit of hair in the front. I can't really speak to the other items such as manageability of hair or thickness. Some photos make the hair appear thicker than others.
This video basically used 1 image from each 3 weeks of Theradome usage. Not much is revealed, but it's sort of fun to see. |
